Liane Williams has choreographed, taught, led, and built spaces that keep young dancers moving.

Liane began her journey in dance at the Ballet Centre and went on to spend eight years at the Edna Manley Junior Department. During her time at the University of the West Indies, she became a member of the University Dance Society, serving not only as a dancer and choreographer but also as secretary and president.

Williams has choreographed for Company Dance Theatre, Dance Theatre Xaymaca, Wolmer’s Dance Troupe, School of Dance DanceWorks, the National Dance Theatre Company, Ballet Petite Academy, and the Jamaica Musical Theatre Company. From 2014 to 2019, she taught modern dance technique at the Edna Manley Junior Department.

Liane is currently the founder and modern dance teacher at Le Wi Dance Jamaica, which provides creative dance classes for young dancers ages 3 to 18 with a focus on modern dance technique. In her words, Fuel is the inner intentional energy that propels her to create, express, share, and move forward one dance move at a time.
